Adrian Don Mora Biography
D.O.B. 24th Feb. 19-somethin’ Position: Assistant Programme Director. Station: Ebony 104 of course (Is there any other?) 🙂 “The Don”, as he is affectionately called, started in Radio back in 1986 on Radio Trinidad 730 AM, part of the T.B.C. network. Seems like a long time, doesn’t it? But that depends on effect, impact and of course popularity. With Adrian, that has not waned in any way. Currently the host of 104’s Morning Mix (6 A.M. -9 A.M.) week-day mornings and the Soft Touch (6 P.M. – 9 P.M.) on Sunday evenings, his smooth style and melodious voice continues to woo the airwaves, not to mention – the ladies. Loyalty being a very strong trait of his, Adrian Don Mora spent seven years at the TBC network where he worked on all the frequencies, 730, 105 and 95.1, but ask anyone what they remember most about his stint there and they would say the ‘Sunsetstrip’ (spelled all in one to play on the listener’s preference to the words ‘trip’ or ‘strip’) which incidentally was the No.1 listened to show on radio. That would not be his only chart topper. In December of 1993, despite many offers prior to that, “the Don” decided it was time for a change of scenery and agreed to host the Morning show on new station, WE FM 96.1. While there he also put his signature on Sundays with the ‘slows’ that earned him another name the ‘Love Man’. That slot was also No.1. Three months short of ten years, another move was in the works. On August 4th 2003 a new voice was heard on EBONY 104 and guess what, it still sounds new! Whether on the air or in the parties Adrian Don Mora still is a major player in the deejay game.
